Family lifestyle photography is about holding onto a stage of life that passes quickly, often without much warning. The small, ordinary things that don’t feel important at the time – until one day they’re just memories.
It might be your kids brushing their teeth together in their pyjamas. Sitting on the sofa with a book. Walking through the park you always go to. None of it is special in the moment – and that’s exactly why it’s worth remembering.
These sessions aren’t about following routines, creating scenes or perfect backdrops. They’re about giving you time and space to be with the people who make up your family, without distraction. That might just be you and your children, or it might include grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles – whoever is part of your everyday life right now.
Sessions can take place wherever you feel most comfortable – at home, outdoors, or a mix of both. What matters is that everyone feels at ease, and that parents are free to engage with their children properly. A lot of families tell me afterwards that these sessions felt like permission to slow down and spend quality time together – and that’s exactly how they’re meant to feel.
I offer family lifestyle photography across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, and Moray. The photographs you receive reflect your life as it is right now – who’s in it, what you enjoy, and this stage before it quietly slips into the past.
Pricing
The cost is divided into two parts to give you flexibility. The first part is the session fee, which covers the photoshoot itself – the time spent together capturing your family in a relaxed, natural way. This fee doesn’t include any images, giving you the freedom to choose exactly what you’d like afterward.
Once you’ve seen your gallery, you can choose from a range of packages that include digital photos, professional prints, or both. There’s no pressure to decide anything upfront – you only pick what suits you best after seeing the final images.
And if you want something extra special, you can even add on a short video of your session, capturing not just how your family looks but how you interact, laugh, and move together. It’s a beautiful keepsake that brings the experience to life in a different way.

Family lifestyle photography is about giving you the space to be with your family, without worrying about how it looks. There’s no posing, no instructions to follow, and no pressure to get anything “right”. You spend time together, and I take care of the rest.
Every session is different, because every family is different. Some are quiet, some are busy, some include extended family, some don’t. What they all have in common is that people are comfortable, present, and focused on each other rather than the camera.
