What is Family Lifestyle Photography?
Family lifestyle photography is all about capturing your family just as you are – in your own space, doing the things you naturally love to do together. No stiff poses or forced smiles, just real, everyday moments that reflect your family’s unique connection and personality.
My approach focuses on creating natural family photos that feel true to you. Whether it’s baking together in the kitchen, reading stories on the sofa, or heading out on your usual Sunday walk up Bennachie, these sessions are relaxed, unposed, and built around what makes your family your family.
I’m based in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, and offer family lifestyle photography across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, and Moray. I love working with local families in their homes or favourite outdoor spots, creating a gallery of images that tells your story honestly and beautifully.
The goal is to make everyone feel completely comfortable in front of the camera – kids, grown-ups, and even the camera-shy. I’ll gently guide things when needed, but mostly I’ll just be there to document what unfolds naturally. Think laughter, cuddles, silly faces, quiet moments, and everything in between.
When you book a session, you’ll get a prep guide that walks you through what to expect, how to get the most out of your session, and how to prepare without overthinking it. We can also set up a video call before your shoot – a chance to get to know each other and chat through any questions.

Pricing
The cost is divided into two parts to give you flexibility. The first part is the session fee, which covers the photoshoot itself – the time spent together capturing your family in a relaxed, natural way. This fee doesn’t include any images, giving you the freedom to choose exactly what you’d like afterward.
Once you’ve seen your gallery, you can choose from a range of packages that include digital photos, professional prints, or both. There’s no pressure to decide anything upfront – you only pick what suits you best after seeing the final images.
And if you want something extra special, you can even add on a short video of your session, capturing not just how your family looks but how you interact, laugh, and move together. It’s a beautiful keepsake that brings the experience to life in a different way.
