Family mini sessions are a simple way to mark a moment in time, without the commitment of a full session. They’re short, relaxed, and designed to fit easily into busy family life.
They’re ideal if you want a small set of meaningful photographs – to update frames at home, mark a new stage, or capture your family as they are right now, without setting aside a whole afternoon.
Mini shoots take place at a set location and time, with a gentle structure to keep things running smoothly. There’s no pressure for anyone to behave or perform. You show up, spend a bit of time together, and I’ll take care of the rest.
Some mini sessions are also offered as themed shoots at certain times of year, such as Christmas minis or Mother’s Day sessions. These are kept simple and considered, with a light seasonal setting rather than anything overdone. The focus stays on the people, with the theme there to add context rather than take over.
Because these sessions are shorter, they’re best suited to smaller groups and straightforward interactions – a walk, a cuddle, a bit of play. They’re not about covering everything, but about coming away with something that still feels like you.
I offer family mini shoots across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, and Moray at selected times throughout the year. Availability is limited, with dates released in advance.
