Got questions about wedding videography with LK Photo & Video? You’re in the right place. Here, I’ve answered some of the most common queries to help you understand how I work, what to expect, and how to get the best from your wedding film. If you don’t see your question here, feel free to reach out – I’m always happy to chat!
It’s best to book your wedding videographer as soon as you have your date and venue confirmed. Popular videographers often book up 12–18 months in advance, so early booking helps secure your preferred one. However, it’s never too late to enquire! You never know what dates are still available.
I’m based in Aberdeenshire and regularly film weddings across Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire, the Highlands, and Moray. However, I’m happy to travel anywhere in Scotland – and even beyond – to capture your special day. Please note that for venues located more than 50 miles from my base, a mileage fee will be applied to cover travel expenses. Just get in touch to discuss your location and I’ll do my best to accommodate you!
I take the time to craft your video properly, so full edits usually take 12-16 weeks. However, I also provide sneak peeks – short highlight clips – within weeks after your wedding so you can start sharing those moments right away. Please note that these are rough guidelines and timelines can differ depending on the time of the year.
I’m all about capturing real, authentic moments – the laughter, the glances, the emotions that tell your story naturally. You won’t find over-the-top effects or staged scenes here, just honest storytelling that feels true to you.
Absolutely! I love hearing what’s important to you, so we can make sure your video includes the moments that matter most.
For these key parts, I use multiple cameras – usually 3 or 4 – to get different angles, close-ups, and wide shots. This way, you won’t miss any smiles, tears, or little details, and the final edit feels dynamic and engaging. However, the amount of cameras can differ.
Yes, it’s me all the way! I handle your wedding personally, from first chat to filming and editing. Sometimes I bring a second shooter, but you’ll always have me as your main point of contact and creator. The only time I might not be the one filming your wedding is in a case of an emergency or unexpected event, in which case I will send a replacement.
Yes, I do. Please note that drone shots are dependent on weather and local restrictions.
I use professional microphones to capture clear audio during vows and speeches. For the final video, I choose music that fits your vibe and respects copyright laws.
I’m happy to collaborate with content creators. Many couples have professional content creators or friends and family capturing quick highlights or social media clips, and that’s great! Just be aware my contract has restrictions on this to protect the quality of the main video, so it’s always best to chat about it early on.
A deposit is required to secure your date, with the balance due closer to your wedding day. All payment schedules will be clearly outlined in your client portal, so you can check what is due and when at your own convenience.
You can upgrade your package at any point before your wedding – just let me know what you’d like to add, and we’ll sort it out. Plus, if after the big day you decide you want more footage or extra edits, you can purchase those up to a year after your wedding date. Flexibility is key!
