Sometimes, the career we end up in isn’t what we planned – it’s a winding path that only makes sense when you look back. For me, photography and videography didn’t start as a job. It started as curiosity. A fascination with people.

I’ve always been behind a camera. Even before I knew it could be a career, I was the kid filming everything Filming my classmates messing about, family chaos, or just whatever was happening that day – I wasn’t trying to make anything look slick or perfect. I just wanted to grab those real moments as they happened. The random laughs, little gestures, and all those small things that somehow stick with you way longer than you’d expect. And, full honesty, I still find myself watching those old, unedited clips and smiling at the raw, unfiltered moments (and obviously cringe at my 15 year old self).

But my path didn’t start in photography or videography. I studied psychology. Why? Because I’ve always been fascinated by people – their emotions, their habits, their behaviour. I wanted to understand why people do what they do. Not just the obvious stuff, but the small sparks beneath the surface – the way a person’s face changes when they’re genuinely happy, the subtle gestures that show connection, the way someone’s energy shifts when they’re surrounded by the people they love.

I didn’t realize it then, but this fascination with human behaviour has been at the core of everything I do with my camera. Filming or photographing isn’t just about pointing and shooting. It’s about watching – really watching. It’s about anticipating when something meaningful is about to happen, whether it’s a quiet glance between two people or a burst of laughter that fills the room. I’ve learned to read the room, to pick up on those tiny details that most people miss.

This ability to observe, to understand, and to time my shots perfectly comes straight from my psychology background. It’s about knowing when to step back and let a moment breathe, and when to be ready to capture it before it disappears. That’s how I get those honest, unfiltered moments – the ones that tell your story better than any posed photo ever could.

That’s also why I specialize in lifestyle photography and wedding videography that focuses on authenticity. I’m not here to make you stop and smile at the camera on cue. I’m here to catch the moments that really matter – the unplanned hugs, the bursts of emotion, the genuine connections. Because those moments are what you’ll want to look back on years from now.

I’ve always been a storyteller. But instead of using words, I use my camera to capture the human stories unfolding in front of me. My job isn’t just to document events – it’s to understand people, their emotions, and the unique energy of each moment.

So, yeah, maybe my journey into photography and videography wasn’t the straight line I imagined. But it’s exactly where I’m meant to be – capturing real life, real people, and real emotions in the most honest way possible.
